Additions:

Cold-Cathode Fluorescent Lights (CCFL) are and effective way to provide even lighting across a linear edge. Standard CCFL sets for PC case modding may be used, but the protective shell must be removed from the actual light tube in order to fit inside an Xbox chassis. A major downside to CCFL tubes is an inverter is required for the lights to operate. These inverters are usually too large to fit within an Xbox chassis, but can be removed from its casing. This is very dangerous due to the excess risk of electric shock or the damage that may be caused to your Xbox due to bad wiring, bad insulation, or by EMF interference.
