Internet Explorer 5+
A modded Xbox, soft or hard modded
A way to connect your xbox to your pc, via router, hub, or other methods, see here∞


First, find a way to connect your xbox to your pc. Once you have a connection check what your xbox's ip address is, usually in the format 192.168.X.X, to find it, turn on your modded xbox, then look on your dashboard because it can usually be found there, if not go to settings and then network configuration, it should appear there, along with the username and password which you will need soon, if the password is not there, don't panic. If you have internet explorer 5.X-6.X, then you will need to open up windows explorer (windows key + E), click view, go to toolbars, enable the address bar. It may be hard to see your address bar, you will need to click view, toolbars, then uncheck "lock the toolbars" and drag the address bar to a good spot for you. Type your xbox's ip in the address bar in this fashion, ftp://(xboxusername):(xboxpassword)@192.168.X.X∞, usually the name and pass are both "xbox" without the quotes. But if you have IE 5.X-6.X, you will type in the same connection info into IE itself. If you did it right, you'll see your xbox's drives. Congratulations, you now have an FTP connection from your pc to your xbox! If not, you may need to enable FTP in the settings of your xbox's dashboard, you may have a bad connection, or you might have typed something wrong.


Tips: You should just be able to drag the files that you need to transfer in the same way that you would move, copy, and delete files on windows. Some places(Xbins) won't let you use the Internet Explorer/Windows method to obtain an FTP connection, you may have to use a program like FlashFXP or SmartFTP.
